About

“Reena” Malabika Ghosh, owner and founder of the firm, enjoys helping clients start their business, and navigate business and IP risks through identifying and protecting intellectual property assets such as trademarks, patents, copyrights and trade secrets. Reena believes in working side by side with clients as a de-facto “inside counsel” to find legal solutions to client’s issues allowing clients to focus on developing their business. Over the past several years, Reena has helped clients create, protect, maximize and leverage IP assets, both in the United States and around the world.

Reena has advised clients and drafted and prosecuted numerous U.S. and International patent applications on a wide variety of technologies – Biotech, Hi-Tech, and other-Tech – including pharmaceutics, biotechnology, nutraceuticals, medical devices, software apps development, social media, cloud storage, green technologies and other consumer products.

Guided by the philosophy that “You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give” and “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much,” Reena volunteers her time and provides pro-bono services to local non-profits and advises businesses, communities, and artists on how to set up non-profit social purposes organizations and protect their artistic creative efforts. Reena has volunteered for several years with Washington Lawyers for the Arts and Washington Attorneys Association for Community Organization.

Prior to practicing law as an attorney, Reena held patent-related positions at various start-up biotechnology and genomics companies. Reena began her work career as a research scientist studying cardiovascular and neurological diseases. She applied computer-based technologies to address biological questions and wrote software programs and developed databases in order to map the human genome.

Reena Ghosh is multilingual and fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali. When not practicing law, Reena spends her time with her exploring the outdoors, and nurturing her vegetable garden and bonsai and mentoring young minds/high school students on science and education.
